Bollard design, expertise, and manufacturing are combining in the U.S. and U.K. to make American business and government sites safer.
UK company ATG - “the bollard people” - are joining forces with the US company Cal Pipe - “the bollard guys”. Cal Pipe Security Bollards of the United States, based in California and ATG Access of the UK have announced the signing of an exclusive manufacturing license agreement to produce ATG security bollards.
CEO of Cal Pipe, Dan Markus said the potential US marketplace was huge and the signing “gives ATG Access the US manufacturing partner they sought to further their international expansion”. The partnership will manufacture a full range of security bollard models already in wide use throughout Europe and Asia to allow temporary secure access or to close off an area to all but authorized (tagged) vehicles for sale in the US. Cal Pipe is a current leader in the manufacture and sale of fixed, retractable, and removable security bollards in use throughout America. Mr. Markus went on to say, "ATG broadens our product range by providing us with a range of security bollards to offer the highest levels of protection currently available to our high-security conscious customers."
ATG says the US marketplace has “tremendous potential” for the continued growth of their product range. President, Glenn Cooper of ATG said they were “truly excited by the opportunity to provide the US with the product and service they have been looking for. ATG's anti terrorist automated rising and fixed bollards designs set a standard for the rest of the industry, worldwide. As they are PAS68 and Department of State rated at all K levels, they provide “the ultimate protection against terrorist attack".
